Brightness, Contrast & Gamma

This feature is used to optimize the image for accurate processing. These settings can be manipulated at any time. For example, measurements can be recorded outside then later optimized inside where it’s easier to see the computer’s display. It is recommended to adjust the brightness and contrast before saving the canopy image in order to make all plant elements green. After an image is saved, the gamma can also be adjusted.

Contrast

Controls the ratio between brighter and darker pixels in the measurement image.

Brightness

Controls the luminance of the measurement image.

Gamma

Controls the gamma correction of the measurement image. The gamma adjustment is only available after the “data/edit” button is selected.
